Reach Out
Email or call us to start your journey. Our trained consultant will discuss your project and answer any questions you may have. If during the conversation it looks like you could benefit from our services, we will schedule an initial consultation in which a Project Consultant will meet with you in your home or in the showroom depending on your project requirements.
Research
A great design is a collaborative effort where your ideas are married with our ideas and experience to create the perfect space. Before your initial consultation, please begin formulating your wish list and ideas by looking for pictures that capture your style. We want to know what your vision is for the space.
Consultation
Our Project Consultants and space planners will come to you so we can observe the space and get an overview of what you would like to achieve. Some customers prefer to visit our showroom first before we come out to the house. Other clients want to start in their home so we can see the space and give advice.
Consultation
Scope of Work
We will begin by discussing all the possibilities for the space. Do not hesitate to bring-up anything you may have thought of. We want to understand who uses the space and what areas you feel need improvement. From there we will discuss the feasibility of your ideas and we will present our initial concept for the remodeled space.
Project Budget Development
Every project has a budget. Our goal is to give you a realistic idea of what your project will cost. Alterations to the existing floor plan, the size of the space and the level of finishes selected will all factor into the total cost of the remodel. We will advise you of areas that you can achieve the best return for your money and at the same time still achieve your desired result. Projects do have minimum budget requirements. Based on the scope of work we will assess if we can do what you want for the amount you are prepared to spend. We can also discuss several
financing options that are available to our clients.
Initial Plan
We will take the information discussed and write up a project quote with allowances.
Concept, Budget & Agreement
Concept
We will show your design concept and floorplan. This is a preliminary idea of what the design and space could look like. Adjustments will be made till the design delivers the vision for the space.
Cost
We will review the scope of work and overview of the project. Your Project Consultant will walk you through our quote to complete the job. We will show you the cost of the project before you spend a dollar. The only thing that would change in our quote during construction is unforeseen conditions such as water damage in walls or changes made by you. We stand behind the price we contract.
Agreement
If the scope of work, initial plan, and cost of the project is agreeable than we will sign a Design/Construction contract and a 10% deposit is due. If you are financing with us we will finalize those documents.
Design
Final Design
We meet to finalize a set of construction documents that layout every aspect of your project.
Pre-Construction Meeting
Team
A team of people will be working with you to ensure a great service. Each person has a responsibility on your project and together they aim to deliver a high level of customer service and a superior experience. Every project has a Project Consultant, Project Coordinator, Account Manager (Accounting), and Customer Service Rep. Larger projects will be assigned a Project Supervisor/Superintendent. You will have 4-5 team members devoted to your job. At the Pre-Construction meeting we will review who your team members are and what they do.
Measurements
Our field technicians will confirm all measurements taken by the Project Consultant. Don’t worry. Small changes in measurements do not affect your price.
Schedule
At the meeting we will give you an estimated time of construction for the project. Before a start date can be established you will need to finalize your finishes and material selections so we can check lead times. After confirming lead times we will coordinator all trades, develop a timeline and give you a start and completion date. We will plan around any major life events that are upcoming or deadlines you have. We will be realistic and upfront about the time the project will take to complete.
Selections & Finishes
Selections & Finishes
You will set a time to finalize material selections such as tile, countertops, cabinets, lighting, fixtures, etc. Depending on your contract we will show you plumbing & lighting fixtures or if you are providing them make sure to check lead times. If you are getting new appliances you will also need to select them and give us the specifications. Tubs and fixtures can have long lead times and appliances can have backorders and delivery delays.
Schedule
A selection sheet is turned in and we will check lead times on specialty materials. At this point we will book your start date. Start and completion dates cannot be guaranteed without final plans and selections.
Construction
Site Prep
This is something we take serious. 90% of our clients will be living in the house during construction. The construction area is usually only 5-15% of the total area of the home. So our goal is to keep our foot print small. We do this by protecting surfaces and dust control.
Construction
We know this project will be disruptive to your daily life. The areas we work in are the heart of the home. They are used in your everyday life and you will not have access or use of these spaces for 1-8 weeks. We will tell you what to prepare for and communicate on a daily basis. Since our company takes you from design to construction this limits miscommunication, delays and blaming others.
